2 shot near Raleigh courthouse in downtown, Raleigh police confirm

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in downtown Friday morning.

According to police, two people were shot multiple times. The shooting happened ina na alley beside the Wake County Courthouse between Fayetteville and Salisbury Streets.

Officers say the alleged shooter is in custody.

Police are still on the scene investigating the circumstances around the shooting. They are requesting that people avoid the area.
