Driver shoots another in Johnston County road-rage incident; deputies arrest suspect

PRINCETON, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was shot and a suspect is in custody after an apparent road rage incident Tuesday on U.S. 70 in Johnston County, authorities said.

The shooting happened near Shoreline Drive in Princeton and involved two drivers, according to investigators. Deputies said one driver shot the other in the neck during the confrontation.

The suspected shooter was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities have not released the names of either person involved.

Officials said they are working to determine the victim's condition and what charges the suspect will face.
