Driver charged with DWI after hitting Cary police car during traffic stop

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was arrested after crashing his Honda Accord into a police car during a traffic stop on Monday.

It happened about 6:30 p.m. on Monday when an officer was conducting a traffic stop on NC 55 near Green Level Church Road.

The officer was outside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The driver, Grayson Dixon, 28, of Durham, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while impaired.

No one was injured.
