Person in wheelchair dies after getting hit by car on Glenwood Avenue; lanes closed

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A person in a wheelchair is dead after getting hit by a car while crossing Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh, prompting a road closure and police response.

Authorities say the driver remained at the scene following the crash. No charges have been filed at this point.

Inbound lanes of Glenwood Avenue have since reopened after crews investigated and cleared the scene.
