Man injured in drive-by shooting on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Raleigh Police are investigating after a drive-by shooting in downtown on Monday night.
Officers responded just after 8:45 p.m. to Fayetteville Street and found a man with a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim was standing in front of the YMCA when a gray SUV pulled up, and someone opened fire. He was shot in the ankle and is expected to recover.
Witnesses reported seeing the SUV drive up and then heard a pop.
The SUV took off.
It happened a day after four people were shot early Sunday at the Alive nightclub just down the street, and was the latest frustration for businesses and patrons in the downtown area.

Police are checking surveillance videos as part of the investigation.
