ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Zebulon man was frustrated over attempted appliance repairs, which he said left him with the same problem despite several repairs. Leon Clark said, "It kept giving us error codes."
Codes Clark said meant his stove didn't work. For the first repair, it was still under the manufacturer's warranty, and a technician came out to fix it.
"They sent a technician out, and they replaced a part, and then they say it's good."
A few weeks later, Clark says the stove went out again. He said by then the manufacturer's warranty was up, and said he was told to use the extended warranty now when he bought the stove at Lowe's.
"The technician came in, 'Oh, yeah, this is a problem.' They put that part on. They didn't put the other part on, and it lasted two weeks," Clark adds.

He said he went through several repairs, and he still had the error codes, so he reached out to ABC11 Troubleshooter Diane Wilson, as he said he got tired of taking off work for the repairs. Wilson contacted Lowe's, and a representative said they would look into it.
Clark says he got results immediately, "Within 24 hours, everybody was calling me." Clark says one of those calls was the third-party administrator for the extended warranty, and it led to a quick resolution that he is happy with.
"Within 24-48 hours, I can get a new stove, the power cable, a three-year protective plan, and a $100 store credit, and they are hauling the bad stuff away," Clark told ABC11 Troubleshooter.
Clark later informed ABC11 that the new stove has been delivered and it works great, and he is happy.

Lowe's did not add any comment to Wilson.
The best advice when it comes to repairs, whether it's under the manufacturer's or extended warranty, is to document everything. Keep logs of when the issue started, each repair, and what happens after it's completed.
