18-year-old charged in April shooting at Triangle Town Center

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Raleigh Police have identified the teen charged in the shooting at Triangle Town Center last month.

Police say 18-year-old Marcus Neal was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Neal, who was arrested Monday, was also charged with carrying a concealed gun and discharging a weapon within city limits.

Investigators say shots were fired after a fight broke out between three 17-year-olds and a 20-year-old mall employee.

At least two of the teens were shot.

Police have filed juvenile petitions against the three teens involved.

They are facing charges of misdemeanor rioting and misdemeanor assault.

The case remains under investigation.
