RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- New details have been released in the Friday shooting at Triangle Town Center mall.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. when a 20-year-old mall employee was confronted by three 17-year-olds. Police say the employee was assaulted during the confrontation and then pulled out a handgun, firing multiple shots.
The gunfire prompted shoppers and employees to run for cover.
"We heard it -- like, 10 more shots -- so we knew it was gunshots then," one mall employee said.

The mall worker and one of the juveniles were injured and remained at the scene until emergency responders arrived. The other two juveniles fled, including one who was injured. Those two later went to a hospital, where police were notified.
Investigators recovered two handguns at the scene.
One juvenile was released to a parent. The three remaining injured individuals stayed hospitalized for treatment.
Police say the case will be presented to the Wake County District Attorney's Office and a juvenile court counselor to determine potential charges. Raleigh police detectives continue to investigate.
Food Truck Rodeo will continue as planned at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The mall will then open at 1:00 p.m.
