RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The driver of a Wake County school bus has been charged with failure to yield after colliding with an SUV early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 6 a.m. on Durant Road near Raven Ridge Road in Raleigh.

No children were on the school bus at the time of the wreck.

The driver of the black SUV was injured, and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the school bus was not hurt.

The bus, number 1002, was on the way to Carroll Middle School. School officials told ABC11 that another bus was sent to pick up students from their stops, and would be late to school.
