Army sergeant has heartwarming reunion with lost dog

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (WTVD) -- Just in time for the holidays, an Army sergeant reunited with her lost dog.

An animal shelter in Sacramento, Calif. found Ginger roaming the streets. She had been missing for three weeks.

Ginger had parvovirus, which can be deadly if left untreated.

Luckily, veterinarians were able to treat her. Ginger is expected to make a full recovery.

Best of all, she gets to spend the holiday season with her family
