Serious wreck closes stretch of Creedmoor Road

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Emergency crews responded to the scene of a serious accident on a rainy roadway Friday afternoon in northern Wake County.

Multiple vehicles were involved in a wreck on Creedmoor Road near Norwood, north of I-540.

That stretch of Creedmoor Road is closed as paramedics worked to help drivers who appeared to be pinned inside the vehicles. AS of 6 p.m., the road remained closed.

No details were immediately available as to whether the rain was a factor in the accident.

It's not yet known how many people were involved or their conditions.
