DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Christmas season is nearly here and many people are already buying gifts for their loved ones. However it is often difficult for low-income families to come up with the money to buy their children gifts.

For the past 40 years Share Your Christmas has matched individuals and groups interested in donating new gifts to disadvantaged Durham residents referred by a Durham County Department of Social Services social worker.
The program is coordinated by Durham County DSS and The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center (formally The Volunteer Center of Durham). They are currently looking for individuals and groups interested in participating in the program.
