SHELBY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A funeral service was held Friday for a Shelby police officer killed in the line of duty.
Law enforcement officers from around the country joined hundreds of mourners to say goodbye to Officer Tim Brackeen.
Brackeen was shot Sept. 10 as he was trying to serve an arrest warrant.

The man charged was caught in Rhode Island. He is now fighting extradition back to North Carolina.
Gov. Pat McCrory spoke at the service.
