Man shot to death in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, NC (WTVD) -- The Rocky Mount Police Department says a man was found shot to death on his front porch Monday night.



It happened around 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Ashland Avenue.



When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Fredrick Jones with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.



Detectives said they believe the motive was a robbery and the crime was not a random act.
