Gas leak prompts evacuation of apartments in Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Officials evacuated apartments on Finney Drive in Smithfield after reports of a nearby gas leak.

The leak was reported in the 1500 block of Brightleaf Boulevard.

Smithfield and Four Oaks fire departments and Smithfield Police are on the scene.
