Sailor Dad surprises son at Catawba County school

CONOVER, N.C. (WTVD) -- The bond between a father and a son is so special. So, imagine one 8-year-old's excitement when his dad came home from a 10-month deployment overseas.

Sailor Matthew Cline surprised his little boy Ayden at his elementary school in Conover on Friday.

The two kept in touch through phone calls, email, Facebook, and Skype. However, that's not the same as having your dad around.

"I missed your hugs for a long time," Cline told his son.

The two have big plans to play video games, go to the beach, and watch their favorite shows until Dad has to ship out again.
