CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WTVD) -- A high school principal trying to stop a fight from happening ended up being the victim of a punch - and the whole thing was caught on camera.
Someone was shooting cell phone video when South Granville High School Principal Kathy Fuerst was hit in the face.
It happened when one student took a swing at another, but the blow glanced off the other student's face and hit Fuerst.
Fuerst was knocked to the ground as several bystanders came to her aid. Luckily, she's okay and was back at work Tuesday.
While everyone agrees Fuerst getting hit was an accident, Creedmoor police say it's still a crime.
A juvenile justice system assault case is being drawn up against the teen - who has been released into the custody of his parents.
