Equifax credit freeze application back online

After several days offline, Equifax's credit freeze application is now back up and running.

Equifax experienced unprecedented web traffic after announcing hackers accessed personal and sensitive information of up to 143 million Americans.

The breach occurred between mid-May and July of 2017.

Equifax did not publicly report the breach until September 7.
