Teen hit at crosswalk in front of Fuquay-Varina High School

FUQUAY-VARINA (WTVD) -- A 15-year-old boy was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk in front of Fuquay-Varina High School on Monday.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Bengal Boulevard.

Officials said the teen was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh in unknown condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old woman, was not injured.

The collision is still under investigation. Further details surrounding the incident have not been released.
