Crash involving sheriff's vehicle injures 2

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A sheriff's deputy mini-van was involved in a serious wreck Thursday afternoon.

It happened on N.C. Highway 98 near Mineral Springs Road. The force of the crash sent one of the vehicle into the woods.

It appears the van and another car crashed into one another head on near Oak Grove Elementary.

Two deputies and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital.

There's no word on how severe their injuries are, or what caused the crash.

The road reopened just before 4 p.m.
