DURHAM (WTVD) -- An accident that knocked down power lines and caused a vehicle to overturn has shut down part of Old Oxford Road in Durham.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. when the vehicle hit three utility poles.
Authorities said the driver was taken to hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed between Hamlin Road and Hebron Road. It is unclear when the roadway will reopen.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
