UNC Urgent Care 24/7 allows you to see a doctor from the comfort of your couch

The next time you're feeling sick or have a fever, you may be able to see a doctor without ever leaving your home.

That's thanks to a new service called UNC Urgent Care 24/7. It allows patients to connect with doctors via a phone, tablet or computer.

The service costs about $49, depending on insurance.

Symptoms the doctors can treat include:

  • Acne
  • Allergies
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Constipation
  • Cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Ear problems
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Insect bites
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Pink eye
  • Rash
  • Respiratory problems
  • Sore throats
  • Urinary symptoms or infections
