Methodist University cancels classes after tragic week on campus

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Methodist University in Fayetteville has canceled classes on Friday following a series of tragic events on campus.

Neil Perry, a part-time faculty member in the Communication and Media department, was killed in a crash on Thursday morning. He was known for his contributions to Grammy and Emmy-nominated music, TV, and film projects.

This tragedy follows the death of Methodist student Peter Armstrong, who was found dead on campus earlier in the week. Authorities have not released the cause of his death.
