Road closed in Zebulon due to damage from water main break

ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A road in Zebulon remains closed due to damage from a water main break.

According to the Zebulon Police Department, West Gannon Avenue will remain closed until repairs can be completed.

The city hasn't given a timeline on when it will reopen. However, water service has been restored to customers, and repairs to the road are underway.

These detours are in place to help drivers navigate the area:

• Drivers going west on W Gannon Ave will need to turn right on Worth Hinton Rd, left on Green Pace Rd, and then left on Water Plant Rd to take them back to W Gannon Ave.

• Drivers going east on W Gannon Ave will take a left on Water Plant Rd, right on Green Pace Rd, and then right on Worth Hinton Rd to take them back to W Gannon Ave.

All drivers should plan for alternate travel routes and use caution in the area.

Raleigh's NCDOT is helping with the repairs.
