Water main break shuts down part of Roxboro Street in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A water main break has shut down Roxboro Street between Lavender Avenue and Club Boulevard in Durham.

City officials said the break was reported around 4 a.m. Crews have shut off the water and are working to repair the damaged main water line.

The road is expected to remain closed through part of the morning as repairs continue.

Drivers should avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
