Wake County school bus involved in accident in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A driver is recovering after crashing an SUV into a packed school bus carrying high school students in Raleigh Friday morning.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Buffaloe and New Hope Road.

Officials said there were some bumps and bruises to the students on board the bus.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital.

It is unclear what caused the accident. Charges are pending.
