Wayne County man facing statutory rape charges

WAYNE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A Wayne County man has been arrested for a sex act involving a child, authorities said Sunday.

Andrewio Barry Fennell, 22, is charged with statutory rape of a child 15 years or younger.

Authorities said the assault happened within the past three years.

The suspect and the victim knew each other, according to officers.

Fennell, from Pikeville, is being held on a $400,000 bond.
