Woman seriously injured in Wendell head-on crash

WENDELL, N.C. (WTVD) -- The State Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on crash in Wendell that left a woman seriously injured.

It happened Thursday afternoon on Bissette Road.

Trooper said 18-year-old Heather Griffin was seriously hurt.

Two other people were rushed to the hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Investigators are working to find out what caused the crash.
