Suspects rob bank, terrorize tellers

It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the /*First Citizens Bank*/ on Park Drive in the /*Research Triangle Park*/ -- off of I-40 at Davis Drive.

According to bank employees, two men came into the bank with handguns and ordered everyone on the

floor.

The men threatened one teller's life and forced another into the vault to withdraw cash.

One teller could be seen hunkered down behind a deputy's vehicle after running out of the /*bank*/. The robbers reportedly terrorized the tellers.

Several employees were so scared they ran out of the bank, losing their shoes as they fled for safety. No one was hurt and the suspects got away.

Two hours after the robbery, officer found the getaway car in an adjacent parking lot.

The gold Nissan was stolen last month in a Durham carjacking.

Just moments after leaving the bank, the suspects had switched to another vehicle.

Officers say robberies at RTP banks are common with easy access to nearby highways.

The men remain at large.
