Workers at two Kinston plants losing jobs

KINSTON, NC Gilbarco Veeder-Root said it will close its facility due to the economy.

It is not known how many workers the closure will effect. Gilbraco makes fuel pumps and automated petroleum systems.

The second plant, Electrolux, will temporarily lay off 100 of its workers. The kitchen appliance maker employs 850 people at its plant.
