Marine's body found at local hotel

CARY Police were called to the Days Inn at 1716 Walnut Street just after 11:36 a.m. Sunday after a man's body was found.

Police say someone called authorities from inside a room at the hotel to report an unresponsive man.

Cary Police Captain Michael Williams would not tell Eyewitness News who discovered 20-year-old William Tripp's body. Williams also did not say how long Tripp had been staying at the Days Inn.

Tripp was from Keller,Texas but it is not know if he was stationed in North Carolina. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and have not determined if foul play is invovled.

His body has been sent to the mdedical exaxminer's office for an autopsy.

Police are not releasing any more information at this time. Authorities say they are not calling the incident a homicide right now, just an untimely death.
