Jelmeland is charged with statutory rape, participating in the prostitution of a minor, paying a minor for prostitution.
Jelmeland is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under an $85,000. He will make a first court appearance today.

FAYETTEVILLE Investigators say 37-year-old Eric Jelmeland of Fayetteville began his relationship with the girl between December 25, 2007 and June 1, 2008. The victim told authorities Jelmeland would meet her at an abandoned apartment to have sex.
