Candidate announced for Malone's seat

WAKE COUNTY Marlowe Foster announced his candidacy for the 14th District spot on Sunday.

He currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs at Pfizer.

"While no one can truly replace Senator Malone, I am dedicated to preserving and continuing his legacy of educational opportunity," Foster said.

Malone passed away last weekend of natural causes.

He spent 40 years working on the Wake County School Board, Wake County Board of Commissioners and in the state Senate.
