Police say the robbers got away with $8,500 and the couple's SUV.
According to deputies, the men drove the SUV into Durham County, where a high speed chase ensued. It later came to an end near Camden Avenue.
Officials say one of the suspects ran off and aren't sure where the other suspect is.
A third man was in the stolen SUV when the chase ended, but he has been questioned and released.
