The Sampson County Sheriff's Department says the accident involved a minivan and a motorcycle on Highway 701 near Harper House Road.
Authorities are not saying which driver was killed in the collision.
But they are saying, either the driver of the motorcycle or the minivan hopped in another car and fled the scene after the crash.
