On July 12, officials were called about a cardiac arrest emergency. When they arrived at a home on Red Cedar Circle in Durham, they found a man lying on the floor.
The victim, 64-year-old William Burroughs, was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause of death has not been released.
William Burroughs was the campaign manager for Durham City Councilwoman Cora Cole-McFadden. He was also a long time booster for St. Augustine's College.
