Man arrested for kidnapping woman

FAYETTEVILLE Police arrested 46-year-old Willie Mack McCoy, Jr. in Smithfield and charged him with first-degree kidnapping.

Police say he abducted 26-year-old Denise Jennifer Roberts from the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on August 1.

Police found her safe.

The investigation is ongoing.
