Three hurt in Raleigh crash

Part of Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh had to be shutdown Friday night after an SUV slammed into another SUV.The accident happened just before 10 p.m. on Blue Ridge Road at District Drive.

Authorities tell ABC11 that the driver of a SUV hit another SUV head-on, then hit a pole. The accident snapped the pole, causing lights to go down in the area.

Three people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.

Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Northbound Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh had to be shut down as authorities cleared the scene. Southbound traffic was re-routed to Lake Boone Trail.
