Water main break closes intersection

DURHAM Authorities have shutdown W Morgan and N Great Jones streets at the Durham Loop after the main broke around 6:30 a.m. Friday.

The intersection is closed for an undetermined amount of time as City of Durham Water works to shut of the water and make repairs.

As of 11:30 a.m. crews had not reached the break, so it is unclear how or why it broke or how long the repairs will take.

Amy Blalock with the City of Durham says no customers are without water.
