He was arrested Thursday evening after investigators say Roberts was responsible for setting two sheds and a house on fire earlier this week on North 1st Street in Spring Lake.
Roberts has been charged with first degree arson, second degree arson and setting fire to an uninhabited house.
Authorities say Roberts was serving a probationary sentence at the time of his arrest for a 2010 conviction of burning a house.
He is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under an $80,000 bond.
