Raleigh police charged a suspect Monday in the weekend murder of a Raleigh woman.
Jeremy Beane, 34, is charged with murder. Police say he and the victim, 43-year-old Cheannell Marie Mickens, lived together at the Pines of Ashtom Apartment Homes.
Police were called to the complex, located in the 3000 block of Calumet Drive, around 1 p.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived, they found Beane injured and he was taken to WakeMed for treatment.
Officers say they then discovered Mickens body inside the apartment. Police have not released the cause of death.
