Three charged with vandalizing school

Deputies charged three high school students with vandalizing classrooms and school buses Wednesday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said the trio broke into seven portable classrooms and seven school buses parked at Walter Spivey School. Windows were broken, fire extinguishers discharged and electronic equipment destroyed.

Sixteen-year-old Drew Paris Love of Center Street, 16-year old Kalisha Dionne Sykes of Old Wilmington Road and 16-year old Peter Denning of Orlando Street, Fayetteville are charged with multiple counts of felonious breaking and entering, injury to personal property, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor injury to real property.

Love, Sykes and Denning were being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $34,500 bond.
