Driver runs over officer, hits utility truck

FAYETTEVILLE The incident started after authorities say Officer E. Ketchum pulled over 26-year-old Felicia Danielle Bohannon on Adams Street around 9 a.m. Monday for not wearing her seat belt.

Bohannon allegedly gave the officer a fake name and then began to drive away. In the process, police say her gold Ford Taurus ran over Officer Ketchum's foot.

As Bohannon tried to make a right turn at a high rate of speed onto Eastern Boulevard from Grove Street, she lost control of her car and struck a PWC Utility Truck.

The driver of the PWC truck was pinned in the vehicle and had to be removed by emergency crews. The driver was not seriously injured.

After striking the PWC vehicle, police say Bohannon got out of her car through a window and started to run away on foot.

Officer Ketchum, along with the assistance of another police officer, apprehended Bohannon after a brief chase.

Bohannon has been charged with resisting/delay/obstructing a police officer, assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, driving while licensed revoked, felony hit and run and providing false information to law enforcement officer.
