Man killed in club assault

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. Investigators say Cornelius Clark, 36, assaulted Jakwan Pittman, 33, inside Club Rain at 349 Falls Road at about 1:38 a.m. Saturday.

Pittman was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital where he later died.

Clark is being held without bond.

The investigation continues.
