Attempted murder suspect turns himself in

FAYETTEVILLE Christopher Antonio Lock, also known as "Boo Boo," turned himself in on Tuesday afternoon.

He was wanted in connection with the shooting and attempted robbery of 48-year-old Joseph McPeak on Sunday.

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Center Street. Officials transported McPeak to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after he was found with a gunshot wound to the face.

He was later taken to the medical facility at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he remains in critical condition.

Lock is charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on $850,000 secured bond.
