ABC11 Meteorologist Don "Big Weather" Schwenneker says the heat will begin to ease by Wednesday and especially by late week.
He says as an upper level trough or dip in the jet stream develops over the eastern third of the U.S., it will allow a cold front to push south of the area by Wednesday night.
"Humidity levels will fall as temperatures drop to more seasonal levels into the upper 80s to near 90 Thursday and Friday," Schwenneker said. "Plentiful sunshine will be the theme during the period making for a couple of nice summer days."
Meanwhile, rain chances will increase by the weekend as another system develops over the region.
