It happened around midnight in the 3700 block of Four Seasons Drive.
Police said 33-year-old Willis Andrea Yates was shot inside his home after, they believe, two men broke in. Yates was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators spent hours at the home Thursday morning collecting evidence. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
