Arrest warrant issued in Durham double shooting

Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a double shooting in Durham Monday afternoon that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Officers arrested Dante Lamar Terrell, 21, of Crest Street, Thursday. He is charged with one count of murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Officials say Nigel Scarlett, 25, of Webb Circle, and Kevin Davis, 26, of Price Avenue were walking in the 2800 block of Crest Street Monday afternoon when multiple shots were fired from a vehicle. Scarlett was pronounced dead at the scene. Davis was taken to Duke University Hospital with serious injuries.
