An officer was on patrol around 5 p.m. Saturday when he heard gunshots at the Brookstone Apartment Complex. The complex is located near Cliffdale and Reilly Roads.
The officer said he found a man shot in the parking lot and a second man with gunshot wounds inside an apartment.
The victims were later identified as 23-year-old Terrance Jenkins and 18-year-old D'Ante Kelley. Jenkins lives in the apartment where the shooting took place and Kelley resides in the 1100 Block of Blankshire Road, Fayetteville.
Both victims were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Monday, police said a suspect in the shooting was at the Womack Amy Medical Center. He was not identified. Police said he would be charged once he's released from the hospital.
