Water restored in Kenly, advisory still in effect

November 30, 2012 7:20:27 AM PST
Residents in the Johnston County town of Kenly will have to boil their water for using it.

A boil water advisory was issued Thursday night after crews shut off water to entire town to make repairs to a water main break.

Officials urged more than 500 homes and businesses to boil water at least 3 minutes before drinking or consuming (ice makers, brushing teeth, etc.).

Water service was restored to customers just before 4 a.m. Friday, but the advisory remains in effect until bacterial tests are completed.
